"Claire, how old are you?""I'm TWWWOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Although we decided a party at the house would be too much for Keira this year, we wanted to do something special for Claire's 2nd Birthday. We invited Grandmom Esther, Gramma, Pappy, Aunt Marcie, Uncle Imants, and Livija over to help celebrate. It was pouring cats and dogs so rather than stay cooped up in the house all day, we went to the aquarium. The girls loved it (including Keira!).
After a fun afternoon with the fishies, we came back to the house for chili and beer then (my feeble attempt at) Mickey Mouse cake, coffee, and presents. Claire really got into the present opening this year. She went crazy over a giant Blues Clues balloon, and wouldn't take off the little chef's apron and hat from Livi. She got a new stroller and highchair to play "mommy" with her dollies and a cool ball game that keeps her very busy.
Cousins Erin and Nick stopped by and Claire partied late into the night and then woke up at 2am, ready to continue the celebration. UGGHHHH! Sunday came and so did a neighborhood Halloween party. She had a really good time seeing all of the kids in costumes and ate about 100 cookies before coming home and crashing on the chair in her Little Red Riding Hood costume with Starla (see previously posted picture!) It was a big, funfilled weekend for my TWO year old!

Pictures are adorable! Birthday girl looks so elated! Keira and Nancy Carol must have gone shopping together in their dreams as Nancy Carol is wearing her identical pink overalls today,too. Uncle Mike is looking forward to his visit!
