Unfortunately these sad little photos of our Claire Bear sum up what's been going on in our household these past few weeks.  We've been sick, sick, SICK!

After days of not eating, Claire finally gave in and had some jello.  She had a terrible head cold that turned into a really bad cough and then eventually settled in her ear and infected it.

Steve and I both had the same cough and cold and were overrwhelmed and exhausted with trying to take care of ourselves, Claire, and keep Keira healthy and safe from illness...especially a cough or anything that would effect her lungs.  Luckily, gramma and pappy came down for a few days and rescued us and gave me the opportunity to sleep....finally.

Just when we thought the worst was behind us, Steve got slammed by the stomach virus and was bedridden for days and I got the worst earache I can ever imagine.  Keira also developed a terrible earache and we both got put on antibiotics for ear infections.  This time Grandmom Esther came to our rescue.  She cooked for us, disinfected our germy house, and let us rest.

So that's our 2009 so far.  Lovely, right?  Spring better get here in a hurry!
