We celebrated our FOURTH OF JULY at my parents' annual picnic. There were lots of kids this year which meant lots of water activities. Big pool...baby pool...water slide...water table...you name it and it was there. The adults' annual Quoits tournament ended in a TIE this year. We actually had to end without a champion because it got dark before a winner was determined! When night came, so did the fireworks and lightening bugs. The fields surrounding my parents' house looked like they were glowing from all of the lightening bugs. It was a beautiful sight that really excited the kids. We were able to see the fireworks displays from the neighboring towns and that sent the kids running from corner to corner of the property to get a glimpse of as much of the fireworks as they could. It was really fun seeing all of the kids so excited. Made me feel like a kid again too!
