CLAIRE LOST HER FIRST TOOTH!

She first noticed her tooth was loose about a week and a half ago. I couldn't believe it could be true! A loose tooth already?? Here she is, right after her recital, showing me that she can bend her tooth all the way backwards. We knew it wouldn't be much longer before it was out!

Looking back, it's pretty obvious that this ear of corn is what did that little loose tooth in...

....because before we knew it, her tooth was out! Claire was sooooo excited.

Here she is showing her dad. I think Steve and I had mutual feelings about the tooth. We were excited for her, but sad at the realization that our "baby" really isn't a baby anymore.

TA-DA! No tooth!

So what did the tooth fairy leave, you ask? Nothing! The tooth fairy didn't come because Claire can't seem to part with her tooth! She says it's special because it was the first tooth she ever got and it was the first tooth she ever lost and she doesn't want to put it under her pillow for the tooth fairy to take. My sentimental little one. :)
